A Message from Our Superintendent

Welcome to the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District (MAISD) and our website.

MAISD serves approximately 12,000 students from seven local districts, two charter schools, and four private/parochial schools.  In collaboration with our school partners, MAISD strives daily to reach our Mission Statement, which is to provide innovative and effective learning opportunities for our students and families.

Our footprint can be visible in partnerships with a variety of community agencies, such as Montcalm Community College and our Early College program, collaboration with Montcalm Care Network and our school-based mental health services, and coordinating GSRP for the early childhood programs in our surrounding area. Additional examples of collaborative services and programs offered through the MAISD include Business, Technology, Career and Technical Education, Special Education, and Instructional Services.  We are deeply committed to supporting the development and growth of  the services and programs we offer and the students and families we serve throughout Montcalm County and our district.

Please take a moment to review our website and the various links to find out more information about our organization, programs, and services.  If you have questions, or would like to provide feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at khamlin@maisd.com or by calling 616-225-6148.

Sincerely,

 Kyle Hamlin, Superintendent
