MAISD Coaching System

Welcome to the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District coaching page. This tool was created as an informative guide to our coaching philosophy, an illustration of our coaching models and an overall guide to the coaching supports offered in alignment with our model.

WE believe coaching starts with facilitation and the engagement of people in a strength-based approach. WE believe coaching involves unlocking people's potential to maximize their own performance. Our coaching efforts support mutual inquiry, collaboration, and discovery undertaking to support professional growth and mastery for all our educators.

Coaching in education has positive implications for our students. Through coaching, educators are empowered, but most importantly, it supports ongoing growth and learning of evidenced based skills. Our coaching philosophy supports our vision of building a partnership that supports best practices through research in education. Our work promotes the love of learning and growth for all educators. Coaches are often thought about in terms of sports, however, coaching in an education setting can inspire, impact change, support, push thinking and be the cheerleader educators need. The MAISD aims to support this process across all of our different coaching endeavors. Our goal is to inspire learning in and outside of the classroom.
