    • Literary Pumpkin Contest

      Calendar: Great Start Collaborative
      Carve or decorate a literature-inspired pumpkin for a chance to win! Age categories are: 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, and 18+. Two winners in each category will be chosen--a “Staff Favorite” picked by FRCL staff and a “Public Favorite” determined by public vote. Prizes will be awarded! To enter the competition, send a photo of your pumpkin to greto@llcoop.org. Please include the name/s and age of the maker as well as the name of the book/character that inspired your creation. Submissions are due by October 23 and public voting will take place from October 24-30 on the library’s Facebook page. Winners will be announced on October 31.

      • Feeling anxious/irritable/frustrated; “little things set you off”
      • Frequent crying and feeling sad
      If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, please know that you are not alone. Spectrum Health offers a free, virtual support group during the COVID-19 outbreak for mothers who are experiencing unexpected and challenging emotions in the early months of parenthood. 

      *This is a small, informal group meeting with typically less than 5 - 6 moms in attendance. If you are not comfortable speaking and just wish to listen that is perfectly fine.
