 Parent Advisory Committee PAC

Welcome From the PAC Team

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Another exciting school year is upon us!  The Montcalm Area ISD would like to invite you to join our team.

Our goal is to involve more parents from our local districts.  We want to introduce ourselves to you and hope that you will attend one of our meetings.

Parent Advisory Committee members:

  • Carson City-Crystal Area Schools
    Kristie Steere -
  •  I am a retired elementary school teacher now working as the director of "Kids Hope," which is a mentoring program.  I have been involved with the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District school improvement team.  I am representing the Carson City-Crystal Area School District.  My husband and I have three grown children, a middle school daughter who is cognitively impaired, and four grandchildren.
  • Central Montcalm Public School
    Jan Trimper -
  •  I am new to the PAC committee and represent the Central Montcalm School District.  I am a parent of two Central Montcalm students.  My youngest son is a third grader who receives physical therapy services.  My oldest son is a seventh grader.  Although multiply impaired, he participates in both general and special education with the help of a one on one para-professional.  I am also an elementary teacher with the Central Montcalm School District.
  • Greenville Public Schools
    Kathy Earns
  • I represent the Greenville School District.  I am a Customer Service Manager for Mueller Brass, Inc. which is located in Belding, MI.  I am the proud parent of a child with ADHD who has been a very successful student. He has been on the honor roll throughout his middle and high school years.  This has been accomplished with a lot of determination, effort, and teamwork.
    Leslie Kinnee -

My husband and I have an eight year-old daughter and an eleven year-old son who attend Greenville Public Schools. My son, who has ADHD and Aspergers Syndrome (a high functioning form of Autism), often struggles socially and academically, but is 100% included in the general education classroom with supports. Our family enjoys going for walks, swimming, bike riding, watching movies and playing board games. I work full-time as the Public Information Officer for the Mid-Michigan District Health Department in Stanton but enjoy attending class parties, field trips and other school functions as often as I can.

  • Lakeview Community Schools
    Open.
  • Montabella Community Schools
Kim BeardsleeHi, I am the representative for Montabella Community Schools. My husband, Bob, and I have two boys in attendance, one whom receives special education support services under the eligibility area of Otherwise Health Impaired.  I have also had the opportunity to work for Montcalm Area Intermediate School District (MAISD) for the past 15 years.  I have fulfilled a variety of special education positions within this organization, which has facilitated a deep understanding of education and related special education service supports.
  • Tri County Area Schools
    Susan Sunden -
  • My family and I reside in the Tri County School District where my husband David and I have sons Colin (11), and Trevor (8).  Trevor has High Functioning Autism.  Trevor is in the third grade at MacNaughton Elementary, where he is fully included in the regular classroom with the assistance of a one-to-one aide.  Trevor experiences success both academically and socially from this arrangement.  Colin is in the fifth grade at Edgerton Upper Elementary, and enjoys writing stories and drawing comic books in his spare time.
Brenda Hall -I represent the Tri County School District.  Our family consists of Mike, my husband, myself, and our two boys, Bradley, age 15, and Marcus age 11.  Bradley, who has Downs Syndrome,  started with the Early-On program at the age of three months and we have been working with the school system every since.  We are members of the Downs Syndrome Association of West Michigan and active in our local church where we have a small support group for parents of children with specials needs.  I work as a medical transcriptionsist out of my home, and also serve as the secretary for the Sand Lake Boosters.
